Fund raising for the hall started a few weeks ago, our proposed Memorial Hall village walk is a major part of our fund raising and brings everyone in our community together and with a common purpose.
We are hoping that every household will produce someone from their midst to participate. It will be an individual effort, for the walk they are making. Each participant will have a “Just Giving” charity account we will explain how to do this. These personalised just giving accounts can be monitored by the individual account holder so as they can see how much they are raising for the charity as the weeks go by before the village fund walk.
For an added bit of fun there will be a £500.00p prize for the individual who raises the most monies in their account.
We expect to get the members of our community opening Just giving accounts and up and running during August, the walk is planned for Sunday Morning October 27th, that should give a minimum of eight weeks for each would be walker to raise as much money as they can in their individual accounts. If for some reason a person is unable to make that date, on trust they can complete the walk at an earlier date and still be eligible for the prize. We need a minimum of 100 participant’s, so please join in no matter what your age or health, not all the village will be able to make the complete walk so obviously we will have a shortened route as well.
